Asking how long a pressure regulator lasts is like asking how long your car will last. Anything with moving parts wears over time, and the conditions under which a pressure regulator operates influences its lifespan.
Though regulators last for many years, the degree of regulation will change over time as internal parts begin to wear. But how can you tell if a pressure regulator is still functioning properly? To help answer this question, we created the SennREG mobile app.
What is SennREG?
The SennREG app is a handy tool to bring into the field when checking your pressure regulator’s performance.
With just a few clicks, you’ll know exactly what to expect out of your pressure regulator. You’ll know if it’s operating within design specifications or if you should consider replacements.
The app first shows you the correct output pressure for your pressure regulator model based on your system’s input pressure, nozzle sizes, and flow.
Then it asks you to input your actual output pressure and shows you if the pressure regulator is operating within range, nearing the end of their life, or if it needs to be replaced. You can see our recommendation via a simple green, yellow and red graphic (shown above).
How Does it Work?
Want to see how SennREG works? Check out the video below for step by step instructions to using the SennREG app. It takes less than a minute to check your regulator’s performance.
SennREG is available for both iOS and Android devices and is free to download.
