As Senninger Brasil celebrates its twentieth anniversary in the current year, the company is expanding beyond warehousing to manufacturing primary agricultural irrigation products to serve better customers, Brazilian growers, and the regional market.
President of Senninger Irrigation, Steve Abernethy, said, “We are rapidly growing our global teams to accelerate revenue worldwide. Senninger Brazil is the benchmark for our success, based on their technical support of the customers at levels in the Brazilian agricultural channel. Our focus in Brazil is ensuring the right technical application of irrigation products for Pivot and Solid Set irrigation. This complete catalog of solutions is always available for the quick delivery to meet the Brazil market need.”
Senninger Brasil advances as part of the Hunter family of companies and their strategy to improve product availability and combine market segments. It will increase its ability to expedite and ease the replacement of old technologies with new product developments, created with the main focus on water and energy efficiency as well as soil preservation.
Senninger Brasil was established in May 2003 when its parent company, Senninger Irrigation, opened a distribution warehouse in Holambra to improve product availability for pivot manufacturers in Brazil.
From its inception, Senninger Brasil provided the country’s pivot irrigation market with high-quality products without the additional costs, delays, and other difficulties associated with importation.
Over the past 20 years, Senninger has brought significant contributions to the Brazil market, with the largest irrigated area in South America, including:
- Sprinkler package design to meet specific field needs and customized water application per location.
- Local experts for field support, product availability for installation, and knowledge of what works best based on regional crop and environmental needs.
- Generation of employment opportunities at the Senninger warehouse and for dealers to staff their businesses and install products. In the Solid Set market, Senninger products also allowed the emergence of new dealers.
- Convenience for the dealer to buy the required quantities instead of importing an entire shipping container. Pay in a local currency not subject to exchange rates and without the hassles of the importation process.
“Here in Brazil, we look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen our relationships with customers, growers, and industry experts, as well as providing them with education and training on irrigation methods, in addition to installation techniques that will make them even more successful,” remarked Marcus Schmidt, Director of International Sales at Senninger.
“Our further expansion into Brazil’s manufacturing operations of our core products will strengthen our offering and eliminate overseas lead times, importation, and delivery costs. We believe we can make Senninger’s superior model – Even Better in Brazil. Our best days are ahead in support of the expanding Brazilian agricultural economy,” said Steve Abernethy.
