On 23 March this year, Senninger joins the Nation to celebrate National Ag Day by paying tribute to the many men and women who make agriculture possible. We recognize the contribution of agriculture in our everyday lives and appreciate those who dedicate their lives to feeding our country and the world.
Every year, National Ag Day falls during National Ag Week. The Agriculture Council of America hosts the Ag Day to encourage every American to:
- Understand how food and fiber products are produced.
- Value the essential role of agriculture in maintaining a strong economy.
- Appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products.
The United States Agriculture is working harder than ever to meet the food and fiber needs of our fellow countrymen and others around the world. Each American farmer feeds more than 165 people. Agriculture is America's #1 export, and its role is vital in sustaining a healthy economy.
Let us show gratitude to those who make our food possible – from the farmers on the fields to all the hardworking folks in the entire agriculture industry.
